Recycling efforts increase as county teams up with schools

Pasco County (Via Pasco County Communications) -- A community paper recycling program called “Bring It from Home!” joins Pasco County Recycling and the Pasco County District School Board Conservation Department in a collaborative effort to recycle large quantities of paper products. This cooperative effort has just expanded the combined number of paper drop off sites to over 100 county-wide.

“With close to 90 school campuses and Pasco County adding another 25 sites, we’ve achieved an amazing depth of coverage for paper recycling drop off. It is exciting that any citizen should be able to find a recycling drop-off site within a few miles of their home," explains Karen Bryant of the Pasco County School District.

US GreenFiber, LLC, a paper recycler and re-manufacturer, supplies the 8-yard containers for collection at no charge. GreenFiber then services them and turns cardboard, newspaper and other paper products into insulation at their plant located in Ybor City. The insulation is then marketed at local retailers such as Home Depot and Lowe’s.
