Pasco County, Florida -- Enjoy a night of family fun and delicious food at the Third Annual Taste of Pasco fundraiser held by Leadership Pasco on Saturday, May 11 at the Rotary Pavilion at the Concourse.

The Taste of Pasco takes place from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at 15323 State Road 52 in Land O’Lakes, and will help NAMI Pasco, a local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, furnish its new base of operations in Land O’ Lakes. NAMI Pasco recently held an open house to showcase the building to the public.

Pasco County’s digital art & literary magazine looking for submissions

Pasco County, Florida - Are you creative? Do you write prose or poetry? Do you paint, draw, or take photographs?

Then show off your creativity by submitting your original art, writing, and photography to Pasco County's First Annual Digital Art & Literary Magazine.

Submissions are open to all Pasco County staff and students K-12.

A form for entry can be found here or you can email an entry to Abigail J. Kennedy at ajkenned@pasco.k12.fl.us.

Kids get to create class

New Port Richey, Florida -- The Pasco Arts Council is offering a new term of exciting art classes taught by Nancy Verderosa.

Students will get their hands in clay, charcoal, acrylic paint and more! This six week class also introduces students to fibre arts where they will learn to make a 'beanie' hat on a loom.

The next class will be Saturday, May 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Classes are only $10.00 a class.

Celebrate culture at Chasco Fiesta

New Port Richey, Florida -- Chasco Fiesta is one of the largest events in Pasco County, and it returns April 5.

Friday, April 5 through Saturday, April 13 the festival will be held along the banks of the beautiful Pithlachascotee River in downtown New Port Richey. The event originally began as a fundraiser for the local library in 1922 and has been held continuously since 1947.

The festival, which is loosely based on a story about Native Americans, is highlighted by a Native American festival to be held from April 5 through April 7.

Donate piece art for girl's benefit

New Port Richey, Florida -- Friends and family are gathering to help a loved one in Pasco County. This is a benefit event to help raise funds for Christine Curti.

Christine has been on dialysis for nine hours-a-night for more than two years and is in desperate need to get a transplant. Her family is trying to raise money for that transplant.

The event is held at the West Pasco Art Guild at 6206 Jefferson Street in New Port Richey at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 9.

There will be live music by KC and The Vocal Chords.

Local artists exhibition at Pasco Arts Council

New Port Richey, Florida -- Here's a chance for you to enjoy new local artists as they showcase their talent.

The Pasco Arts Council has announced the winners of the 2013 Art Annual. The event is located at 5744 Moog Road in Holiday.

To view this exhibition, or vote for your favorite for the People's Choice Award, visit the gallery at the PAC during their business hours.

The event is free.

Florida Landscape Artists exhibit

New Port Richey, Florida -- If you enjoy true Florida art, here's a chance for to take a look at some special landscape artists during an upcoming exhibit.

The Florida Landscape Artists are a small collective of painters who work in various mediums including oil, pastel, watercolor and pen & ink.

The free exhibit is taking place Wednesday, Feb. 20 at noon at 6231 Grand Blvd in New Port Richey.

In addition to working in their own studios, they have been painting together on location for several years.
