New Port Richey, Florida -- Here is a chance for you to learn some new art skills in the new year!

This is a small class for beginners through advanced artists beginning on Jan. 7.

Realistic techniques are taught along with color mixing, composition, content, shading and blending.

Each artist will work from his or her own reference material with one-on-one attention and demo instructions.

This class is taught by Fran Mclean, a local artist, with 18 years as an instructor.

The cost is $15 for a 3-hour session, which is held every Monday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The location is at the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center at 6630 Van Buren Street in New Port Richey.
