Gulf View Square Mall welcomes new retailers

Port Richey, Florida -- Gulf View Square Mall has announced that Crown Diamond Jewelers is now a part of their retail stores.

The jewelry retailer opened its doors on May 1. The 1,148 square foot store can be found inside the North Entrance, next to Lenscrafters.

Spencer's Gifts is also expanding and relocating right now at the mall. Slated to open in its new location on June 1, the store will offer shoppers entertainment, excitement and fun in a larger space.

Buisnesses interested in participating are encouraged to post their open positions including summer internships, part-time, or full-time opportunities on vjf.worknetpinellas.org.  The job fair is free and simple to access.

Pasco County, Florida-- On Friday, April 27 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Pasco EDC, in conjunction with Career Central, will be hosting an Exporting Forum at the SunTrust building in New Port Richey.

President Obama recently visited with the workers at the Port of Tampa and shared the importance of small business exporting.  The Pasco Economic Development Council wants to answer his call to increase exports by connecting them with the right information they need to start selling overseas.

Pasco County, Florida -- Leadership Pasco has announced that the 2nd Annual Taste of Pasco fundraiser will be held on May 19 at the Rotary Pavillion at the Concourse.

The event, from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., will help raise money for the new Mobile Medical Unit that is used to serve the homeless population of Pasco. The Mobile Medical Unit was recently unveiled with a ribbon cutting in Holiday that was attended by Senator Mike Fasano, Pasco County Commissioners and several other business and community leaders.

Pasco County, Florida -- A new firearms and related accessories company is coming to Pasco County and is bringing 29 jobs with them.

According to the Pasco Economic Development Council, on Tuesday, March 6, the Pasco County BOCC agreed to 20 percent of the annual tax refund and adopted a resolution to approve Adams Arms, Inc. as a qualified applicant to Florida's Qualified Target Industry (QTI) tax refund program.

The company is looking at several facilities in the area. The new jobs will offer an average wage of $50,000.
