Michigan manufacturing company looking to locate in Pasco County | Business

Pasco County, Florida -- J.T.D. Enterprises, a woman-owned company that makes tubular assemblies used in golf ball accessories, flagpoles, and defense technologies, was approved by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners as a qualified applicant for Florida’s Qualified Target Industry (QTI) tax refund program.

The resolution adopted by the Pasco County Commissioners states the project will add ten new jobs to Florida with an average annual salary exceeding 115 percent of Pasco County’s current average wages.

J.T.D. Enterprises chose Pasco County as the future location of its business for three specific reasons: the weather, their customers, and the warm welcome they received in Pasco County.

“We vacation in the Tampa Bay area every year,” said Deni Nihra, President of J.T.D. Enterprises. “We are near the beach, close to our customers, and can wear flip flops year round! I can’t think of a better place to locate our business.”

However, the Nihra’s said the driving factor that brought their family business to Pasco County was really the receptiveness of the Pasco Economic Development Council, Inc. Tom Nihra, Vice President of J.T.D. Enterprises said, “We met with other counties, but Pasco EDC went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in Pasco County and answer every question we had about the area. When we’d email them we always got a timely response; they were heads above the rest.”

“In Pasco County there is great weather and golf year-round, who wouldn’t want to do business here?” said John Hagen, President/CEO of Pasco EDC.  Hagen added, “For us it’s all about relationships and customer service. We want companies to grow and succeed and to do that we need to help them, build trust, and show them they are welcome here in Pasco County.  Everyone wants to go where they are appreciated.”
