New Port Richey, Florida -- Residents of New Port Richey who sign up for membership at the Recreation and Aquatic Center before June 8 will save 20% off their membership.

From May 12 to June 8, citizens who purchase a 3-moth membership will receive the discount. The membership includes: swimming, gymnasium, fitness center, game room and discounts to some classes and swim lesson all Summer.

Pasco County mounted posse presents check to Gulfside Hospice

Pasco County, Florida -- The Pasco Sheriff’s Mounted Posse presented Gulfside Regional Hospice with a check for $28,000 on May 6 at the Pasco Sheriff’s Administrative Office in New Port Richey.

The money is from the Ride for Hospice held on April 13 and 14 at Fair Haven Farms.

Pasco County, Florida -- Come test out your baseball skills at Veterans Memorial Park!

Pasco County Parks and Recreation and Veterans Memorial Park will host Pitch, Hit & Run. 

Pitch, Hit & Run is a competition where participants get to try out different aspects of baseball. Competitors ages 7 to 14 get to pitch from a designated target, hit from a stationary batting tee for distance and accuracy, and run from second base to home plate for time.

Mail carriers collect food for Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!

Carrollwood, Florida - Mail carriers will take part in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Residents can leave non-perishable food item by their mailbox and the letter carrier will pick it up. The food will be donated to food banks to distribute to needy citizens.

Last year, over 70-million pounds of food was donated across the country.

If you cannot leave food items by your mailbox, you can drop it by your local post office.

Rock The Park comes to Pasco County

Rock The Park comes to Pasco County

Pasco County, Florida -- The 3rd annual Rock the Park concert benefit is coming up this may. 

The concert will bring an infusion of new rock music and Tampa's award winning food trucks, as well as a silent auction hosted by 102.5 The Bone. 

The concert will benefit the Center for Independence, Inc. which provides a wide variety of services to the developmentally disable community and their families. 

Rock the Park is free and open to the public and will be held at Sims Park Amphitheater, 6341 Bank Street, New Port Richey.

Pasco County, Florida -- Register your kids for camp before summer starts!

Summer Day Camp at Shady hills Community Center will run for 7 weeks from June 24 thru August 9 for ages 5-13. Camp hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Make sure to bring the following info to registration: Proof of Pasco County residency, driver licnese or picture ID, emergency phone numbers and medical insurance info, cash or checks made payable to BOCC, birth certificate and proof of Kindergarten completion. 

The cost of the camp is $15.00 per week.

New Port Richey, Florida -- Mr. Russell Buckland is a 3rd Degree Black Belt, assistant instructor and a beloved friend to many.

He began his training under Chief Master Clark in Jacksonville and has been training at an academy in Tampa, along with his 13-year-old son Bryce, a 1st Degree Black Belt, for the past 10 years.

Recently, Mr. Buckland was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

As a 47-year-old devoted father, Mr. Buckland is determined to beat this disease; but to do so, he needs our help!
