Pasco County, Florida -- A Pasco County jury spared a 22-year-old former exotic dancer from a possible life sentence.
Brittany Miles teared up as the verdict was read and the jury convicted her of the lesser charge of battery on a law enforcement officer.
Miles says she was high on prescription drugs when she tried to get away from Deputy Ashley Grady in 2011 and drove off with Grady hanging in the driver's side window.

The deputy ended up falling from the speeding truck breaking her leg. She's set for sentence on December 4 and could get up to 35 years in prison.
She will also go on trial in January for the death of Henry McCain in Hernando County. She's accused of hitting his motorcycle while trying to get away.
