Port Richey, Florida -- A Bealls Outlet store supervisor was arrested Friday for conducting false returns on store items and pocking the cash.
Pasco County deputies say they were alerted to the fraudulent activity going on at the store in the 9600 block of U.S. 19 and an investigation revealed Aimee Mayler had obtained over $2,300 in cash between Jan. 7 and Feb. 6.
In an interview with detectives, she admitted to making the false merchandise return transactions and stealing the cash to pay her bills. She was arrested and charged with grand retail theft.
She has since been released on bond.
