Fivay wins big district game over Zephyrhills

Hudson, Fl - The Fivay Falcons had a stong fourth quarter to help them comeback from behind and defeat the Zephyrhills Bulldogs 48-42, in a critical Class 5A district 6 matchup.

With the win the Falcons inched closer to a first-ever playoff spot in only the second year of having a football progam.

Kyrie Rodriguez scored on a 3-yard run and quarterback Tyler Degen tossed a 29-yard touchdown pass to James Bullock, helping Favay with their fourth quarter comeback.

The Falcons (6-2, 5-1) are now tied with the Bulldogs (5-3, 5-1) for the runner up spot in the district.

Pasco rolls past Fivay 59-6

It was homecoming at Pasco High School as the Pirates entertained the Fivay Falcons in a Class 6A-6 matchup.

Coming into the game, Pasco, Fivay and Zephyrhills were in a three-way tie at the top of their district at 4-0. It didn't take long for Pasco to show why they are still the team to beat as they rolled past Fivay, 59-6.

Early on, it was the Janarion Grant show. Grant scored two quick touchdowns, a 45-yard touchdown on a swing pass from quarterback Jacob Guy and a 50-yard punt return that put the Pirates up 21-0.

Pasco sails past Gulf 51-0 to remain unbeaten

Up in New Port Richey it was our HighSchoolSports.net Game of the Week as the Gulf Buccaneers played host to the Pasco Pirates. From the get go, this battle of swashbucklers was dominated by Pasco.

The undefeated Pirates wasted little time jumping out to an early lead with several scores in the first quarter, including a defensive score when Gulf coughed it up deep in their own end.
But the bread and butter for Pasco was their screen pass.  Gulf just didn't have an answer for the Pirates and their athletic running backs.

Before long, the Pirates were up by 30 thanks to the shifty running of Trey Dudley-Giles, who returned a punt for a touchdown, as he just refused to go down.
Junior running back David Emmanuel also added a few scores of his own for Pasco.

When the dust finally settled Pasco knocked off Gulf 51-0 to remain unbeaten.
