Pasco County, Florida -- Pasco County Tourism is celebrating a record year as the destination’s bed tax* collections reportedly increased nearly 20 percent for Fiscal Year 11/12.
The final month of September and the fourth financial quarter ended Pasco County’s second highest tourism revenue season in more than two decades.
Since April 2010, Pasco County says it began to focus on its marketing efforts as a sport and travel destination. The County is home to one of the largest lacrosse tournaments in the nation, Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions, and hosts several mainstream adventure running events like the Savage Race and Dances with Dirt.
