Pasco County, Florida -- When a child or teen is grieving after the loss of a loved one, it is comforting to hold a stuffed animal and feel a sense of comfort. Often, this stuffed animal is there to listen to the child's deepest thoughts and feelings and offer a soft hug.
"Cuddles", created by the Gulfside Regional Hospice Bereavement Department, brings comfort not only to children but also to anyone that has experienced a loss or has been recently diagnosed with an illness. It is a soft, squeezable dog that provides companionship to any child, teen or adult.
For a donation of $20, this cuddly dog comes in male or female versions. Gulfside’s Bereavement Center has “Cuddles” on display in each of its five thrift shops located around Pasco County, along with the holiday and all occasion cards the children have created. “Cuddles” can also be found on Gulfside’s website for a donation. All proceeds support Gulfside’s Rhythm of the Spirit Camps.
"‘Cuddles’ is actually available to take home today,” said Director of Bereavement and Volunteers Sonia Quinones. “Just call Gulfside’s Bereavement Community Center in downtown New Port Richey at 727-844-3946 or you can stop in and take one home now,” she added.
