Man killed in 3-car pileup on McMullen Booth Road | News

Palm Harbor, Florida -- A deadly crash caused traffic problems during Wednesday morning's commute on McMullen Booth Road at Curlew Road.

Both the Florida Highway Patrol and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office are investigating.

Based on preliminary information, the FHP says a BMW driven by 29-year-old Jonathan Peter Bytautas ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a Chevy pickup truck. The two vehicles then crashed into another pickup truck.

The driver of the Chevy pickup, 54-year-old Robert Henry Raymer Jr. of Holiday, died at the scene. Bytautas was hospitalized with serious injuries. The third driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Investigators say charges are pending.
