Ride for FREE with Pasco County Public Transportation

Pasco County, Florida --The 8th annual National Dump the Pump Day encourages people to ride public transportation (instead of driving) and save money. Ride for FREE with PCPT.

The 8th annual National Dump the Pump Day on June 20 is a day to highlight that when gas prices are high, using public transportation is a great alternative to driving that will help people save money.

PCPT celebrates Older Americans Month

Pasco County, Florida -- Pasco County Public Transportation is offering a free ride to all people 60 years of age or older on Wednesday, May 15.

This applies to all PCPT transit buses with valid ID for proof of age.

Clinton Avenue widening public info meeting

Pasco County, Florida -- There will be a public information meeting and construction project update on Thursday, May 9.

It will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 37015 Orange Valley Lane, Dade City.

The purpose of the meeting is for the construction contractor and Pasco County staff to provide project status and schedule updates, and answer questions regarding the Clinton Avenue Widening Project which extends from west of Fort King Highway to east of U.S. 301.

TBARTA invites you to talk transportation

Tampa Bay, Florida-- The Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA) invites residents from seven local counties to join in upcoming talks about the region's future transportation plans and priorities.

TBARTA reps say they will host telephone "TownHall meetings" for 10 days starting Monday, April 1.

An automated system will call between 40,000 and 80,000 per night to extend an invite to the forum, and then TBARTA reps will take it from there to answer questions and respond to comments.

Lane closures for this coming week, starting today

Pasco Co., FL-- The Florida Department of Transportation has announced lane closures throughout the county for this coming week.

They are as follows:

Pasco County

US 19 between the Pasco/Pinellas County Line to SR 52

Add pavement to right turn lanes, resurfacing – Daily lane closures Monday – Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Information meeting on US 19 road improvements Thursday

Hudson, Florida -- The Florida Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting for the roadway improvements along U.S. 19 (SR 55) in Pasco County for projects:

US 19 from SR 52 to New York Avenue
US 19 median improvements from SR 52 to CR 578 (County Line Road)
US 19 from New York Avenue to CR 578 (County Line Road)

The meeting will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6 in Howard Hall located within the First United Methodist Church of Hudson, 13123 US Highway 19, Hudson, FL 34667 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M
